Christian Drama is quite different from secular plays or the one-hour entertainment packets shown on television. The heart of Christian drama is the eternal truth of the Word of God; the message of Christian drama is that Jesus Christ has changed everything when it comes to human reality -- that includes sin, problems, turmoil, disaster, and even death. He has the power to transform ordinary sin-defeated human beings into sons and daughters of God. This is quite a dramatic development, and Christian drama is an excellent way to portray this!
Learning in the first century was listener-based; books as we know them today did not exist.
Jesus taught people in parables so that they could listen and assimilate God's truth.
Society today is visual-based; people recognize meaning through viewing and interpreting actions and symbols.
Drama is today's "parables."
